I love repeat clients. I love to see the kids grow and change over the years. Yesterday I got to do one of my favorite families from early on. If you’ve visited my website, you’ve seen their faces. Dad set up this session as surprise birthday gift for his beautiful wife…how sweet is that?? Brownie points!! Today is her birthday, so I wanted to get their sneak peek up. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, S!! I hope you love these few I picked out for the blog!

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010Gorgeous light | Seattle family photographer
Monday, December 6th, 2010We had one of those gorgeous Seattle autumn days and the perfect setting for this extended family session. The girls mainly wanted to run around and play, but who could blame them on this kind of day!

We managed to corral them all together for some family photos…

This family is moving this month, so we got some of the girls with their grandparents.

And the whole beautiful family!

Family sessions are a challenge…it’s hard to get everyone looking good in the same photo, or even looking in the same direction, especially with kids, but they are so important. I love being able to capture this time for families. And good luck to this family in their new life!

Sunday, October 10th, 2010I got to shoot my first session in my new studio (which is technically not open yet) with Will and his big brother Charlie. These two boys are adorable! I first met Will when he was just about a week old…and look at him now!

I got to try out a fun new backdrop I got too…

Will wasn’t quite sure to think about all of this…

Thanks for being the first, Brooke! Your boys are wonderful! It’s so fun seeing them grow and change!
beach time | Seattle family photographer
Saturday, October 9th, 2010Last Saturday was a glorious fall day that remind me how much I love the Pacific Northwest. It started out overcast, but not cold. One of those perfect fall mornings. I met this family at one of their favorite local beaches for some photos.
And in between, I managed to get a few smiles…

Thanks for the great session!!
Laura and Paul | Seattle photographer
Thursday, October 7th, 2010Last week I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Laura and Paul. It was a small, intimate wedding at Cafe Juanita, and it was the most beautiful wedding I have ever attended. These two are blessed indeed, with each other and with a community of family and friends who cherish them. I wonder how often the photographer ends up crying at weddings??
Luckily I didn’t end up with blurry photos!
Here are the bride and groom…Congratulations you two, and here’s to a long and wonderful journey together.

The bride was attended by her lovely daughter, who read a very beautiful piece about marriage (wish I could remember the author!).
Cafe Juanita was the perfect spot for a small, intimate wedding…it was gorgeous!

SHORELINE CO-OP PRESCHOOL | SEATTLE CHILD PHOTOGRAPHER
Monday, October 4th, 2010I’ve had the pleasure of doing the school photos at Shoreline Cooperative Preschool for a few years now, and it’s one of my favorite jobs. The kids are so cute! Shoreline Co-op and Teacher Patty have a special place in my heart…both of my children went here. Teacher Patty is a wonderful teacher, and the Co-op experience was one I will never forget. I learned so much through the school, the process, the other parents, and, of course, Teacher Patty. I can say without a doubt that I am a better parent because of my experience in Co-op preschool. If you are looking for a preschool, please consider Co-op!
Here are some of this year’s cuties!! Ages 2-5 is so fun! I never know what I am going to get!

And the wonderful Teacher Patty…

If you are interested in Co-op preschool, you can find more information here.
And you can visit the Shoreline Co-op blog or website.
jen & brian | seattle engagement photographer
Sunday, September 26th, 2010Today’s session with Jen and Brian was one of my favorites in a long time!! Everything was just right! We thought we might get rained out, but the rain held off and kept the crowds away from our location!! I had the privilege of shooting their wedding a few weeks ago and was thrilled that they wanted to do some fun shots on Jen’s bike and at the lake where they had their first date (awwwwww!!). It was really hard to pick favorites to show…and there’s so many more to edit! Here are some I just couldn’t wait to show them.
We started at their place for some fun shots on the bike…I love these two!
then we headed over to the lake….

Here’s to many happy years ahead you two! I hope you are always laughing!
